Jack Aldane, Editor
Jack Aldane has a degree in philosophy from London University and a Masters in Financial Journalism from City University. He has worked for newspapers and magazines in Europe and Asia, spending nine months in China writing for the Global Times. After stints at Bloomberg and working on the loans desk for IFR at Thomson Reuters, Jack joined Trade and Forfaiting Review as Deputy Editor. At Development Finance, Jack leads the editorial team covering climate finance, social finance and impact investing, healthcare and infrastructure finance.
Richard Forster, Managing Editor
Richard has been an editor and journalist for 18 years having trained at Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC. He has written for the Financial Times, Euromoney, Euroweek, IFLR and Project Finance magazine and has launched publications for the Inter American-Development Bank, Asian Development Bank and UN-Habitat.
At PFD Media Group he has overseen the launch of two flagship titles Cities Today and Development Finance. He is a consultant to UN-Habitat and specialises in development issues in an urban context. Richard is a qualified lawyer with law degrees from King’s College London and the Université de Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne).
Nick Ferguson, Editor: Asia-Pacific
With 15 years experience in the Asia-Pacific region, Nick focuses on the financing of development through multilateral and government aid, capital markets, public-private partnerships and infrastructure finance, and he covers macroeconomic trends across the region from Hong Kong.
He spent 8 years as Deputy Editor at Finance Asia and previously worked for Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC in London and Hong Kong and for law firm White & Case. Nick has a degree in politics from the University of Hull.
Adam Pitt, Editor: Africa
Adam has worked as a consultant to the Asian Development Bank on local government debt and from 2011-2013, worked for the United Nations Development Programme as Chief Editor for print and digital media.
He has written on agricultural finance, gender equality, micro finance, and financial education and gained a BSc in International Relations and Global Development from the University of Derby in England.
Jonathan Andrews, Editor: Latin America & Caribbean
Jonathan graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and International Relations. He has written for publications for the World Bank, UN-HABITAT, UNESCO, the Inter-American Development Bank, the OECD and the Stockholm International Water Institute.
He focuses on financial topics relating to climate change, water and sanitation, health care and the use of technology to drive urban development. Jonathan works from the Spanish and London offices of PFD Media Group and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Mythili Sampathkumar, US reporter
Mythili is a graduate of the University of Maryland-College Park and went on to further study at Johns Hopkins University. She worked for nearly ten years in the international trade compliance sector before becoming a journalist focusing on climate change, international development, and business. Her work has appeared in Foreign Policy, Good Magazine, Devex, as well as several newspapers in Asia. Mythili is the U.S. reporter for PFD’s Cities Today and Development Finance.
