The Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Board of Governors is a premier forum to discuss economic and social development issues facing Asia and the Pacific and explore solutions to challenges. The meeting provides opportunities for member governments to interact with various stakeholders; and gives guidance on ADB administrative, financial, and operational directions.

Over 3,000 finance and development ministers, central bank governors, and other government officials, business leaders, investors, journalists, and civil society representatives will gather on 4-7 May 2017 at Pacifico Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan, for the 50th Annual Meeting of the ADB Board of Governors. The theme is “Building Together the Prosperity of Asia”.

The 4-day meeting provides an excellent opportunity for networking and developing innovative solutions and new partnerships in a wide range of events.

Seminars will provide a vibrant platform for top-level panelists from government, private sector, academia, and civil society to discuss economic, finance, and development issues of current interest to ADB stakeholders. Civil society organizations will come together for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and networking. Local, regional, and international media organizations will cover discussions and interview key Annual Meeting delegates.

The ADB Annual Meeting is a sustainable event. ADB received ISO 20121 certification in 2015 for implementing an event sustainability program. ADB partners with the host country to assess and improve the environmental, social, and economic aspects of the event.

ADB, based in Manila, is dedicated to reducing poverty in Asia and the Pacific through inclusive economic growth, environmentally sustainable growth, and regional integration. Established in 1966, it is owned by 67 members—48 from the region.
